About

The story begins in New York City. At the age of 17, Danny D embarked on a musical journey as the founding member of XTREME. Born and raised in the Bronx by Dominican parents, Danny was immersed in both urban and Latin cultures from a young age. This unique background motivated him to blend the romantic beats resonating with American Latinos with the traditional love songs of their parents' homeland.

Fusing his passion for the “tipico” bachata sounds of the Dominican Republic with the R&B and urban influences that defined his youth in the streets of New York City, the multi-platinum artist Danny D / XTREME thrives at the intersection of two cultures. He masterfully explores mainstream U.S. pop while remaining true to his Dominican roots.

His previous album, Making History, sold over 200,000 copies and propelled the group to new heights of success, featuring three hit songs: “Shorty Shorty,” “Where It Was,” and “No Me Digas Que No,” the latter featuring Adrienne of The Cheetah Girls. Building on the momentum of his hit “Te Extraño,” Danny D showcased his versatility by diving into all stages of production. “No Me Digas Que No” received a nod for the 2009 Latin Billboard Hot Latin Song / Vocal Collaboration and earned recognition at the 2009 Premio Lo Nuestro for Best Group.

In addition to recording numerous albums and shooting music videos, Danny D / XTREME has made appearances on several major television programs throughout Latin America and the U.S., including multiple features on Sabado Gigante and Despierta America. His extensive touring across the U.S. and internationally has cultivated a loyal and ever-growing fanbase.

“Just like our fan base, we are constantly evolving and incorporating new sounds and hot concepts into my music. I write for our fans everywhere,” says Danny D. This drive and natural talent have established XTREME as a household name in Latin music, positioning him to continue on the path of success. “We want to help pave the way for the evolution of Bachata as I know it.”

Now a father of four, Danny D is diligently working on his first solo album, set to debut in 2025, marking yet another exciting chapter in his illustrious career.
