About

Noel Dominguez, better known by his stage name Kano Keys, was born on July 7 in the bustling city of New York. Coming from Dominican parents hailing from the vibrant city of Santiago de los 30 Caballeros, Kano's roots are steeped in rich musical heritage. His early years took shape in Brooklyn, where he began his formal education at PS 257 before relocating with his mother to the Bronx, where he pursued advanced math and science.

Throughout his upbringing, music resonated deeply within him, ultimately sparking a passion that would guide his future. In 2002, he discovered his musical talents during his time in Wilmington, Delaware, where he achieved an impressive 14th place among tenors in the state competition. The following year, he improved to 11th place, solidifying his commitment to developing his craft.

After graduating from Alexis I Dupont High School in 2005, Kano made the pivotal decision to travel back to the Dominican Republic, where he embarked on his professional music career. He quickly gained recognition as a talented pianist, working with esteemed artists such as Luis Vargas, Memin El Sucesor, Elvis Martinez, Joe Veras, Revolución Típica, and Urbanda.

A milestone in Kano's career came when he had the honor of performing at the 25th anniversary celebration of Anthony Santos, known as the "King of Bachata." During this grand event at the iconic Madison Square Garden, he shared the stage with Luis Vargas, where Kano delivered a stirring rendition of the song “Debate de Cuatros,” taking on the part originally sung by Romeo Santos.

After gaining substantial experience performing with major orchestras and artists, Kano Keys decided to branch out as a solo artist. He released his debut single, “Jurame Mami,” which showcased his unique musical identity. Currently, he is finalizing his latest track titled “No Me Hablen de Amor,” which features a fresh take on modern bachata infused with urban elements.
